Missouri to Test all Schools

The impact of radon on children's developing lungs is more severe than on adults. 

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), in conjunction with the Missouri Department of Health, is funding a statewide project to test all schools for radon. Missouri has been testing this since 2004-2005 and should be complete by the end of next school year.  The program is funded through a grant with EPA and follows the AARST-NRPP testing guidelines.

It’s also critical to have the new home retested for potential radon concentrations immediately following occupancy. We also highly recommend installing an Active Dampness Control System (ADC) with every new build.
